First of all, let me say that LockDown is the BEST program I have ever found to deter those annoying hackers. I have a story to tell. And will try to make it brief. I am a critical care nurse by profession, but most recently became interested in computers. I spent a lot of time in ICQ (A user-friendly chatroom) and met a lot of people.

I accepted a lot of files, curious as I am... and recently received a game that had a trojan attached to it. Now, I am not very proficient with computers as I am with my patients, which therefore made me very gullible and susceptible to viruses. I had, whom I thought was an ICQ friend, send me a game, and within seconds, a siren was sounding and I was getting information that someone was trying to access my computer.

Lockdown notified me that someone was trying to hack into my computer, and even gave the the person's IP address and service provider (which I have recently learned). It knocked the person offline, and he even sent me a message asking me what "proggie" I was using!!! I told him LockDown.

He was furious because he could not get into my computer! I was able to report this person to his service provider, and have not had any problems since that time. At that time, I had another anti-hacking program, whose name I will not mention, and it did not even notice that someone was trying to get into my computer! Incidentally, they had to refund me!

Please....believe me! LockDown is a WONDERFUL firewall that is not very expensive, and extremely worth my investment. If you are like me, and like chatrooms, you most definitely need this program installed into your computer. I will never go a day without it. I have called the service personnel at Lockdown on numerous occasions computer illiterate as I am, and they have always been there for me to answer my questions and help me keep hackers out.
